Who are CHAS?
CHAS are one of the accredited SSIP schemes in the UK. CHAS stands for the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme. It is an independent body that assesses contractors’ health and safety policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they meet required standards.

What is SSIP?
SSIP stands for Safety Schemes In Procurement. It is a set of health and safety standards used in the UK to assess and evaluate the health and safety performance of companies who provide services to clients. The SSIP scheme was created to streamline the pre-qualification process for health and safety assessments. This process ensures that contractors have the necessary health and safety measures in place to protect workers and the public.
